We strive to maintain and support a club to educate and promote an interest in mineralogy, geology, and related fields. We hold regular meetings for the dissemination of this knowledge. Monthly newsletters are issued to members on a regular basis. Lastly, we provide recreational activity and companionship for its members.

Recreation

Club Field Trips are plentiful throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall months with the SEMMC. By joining the club you'll gain access to otherwise closed locations around New England - including active quarries and our club claim in Herkimer.

All levels are welcome to join in on field trips and sometimes there is an added benefit - learning from those who have been collecting for 10, 20, 30+ years! Safety is always priority, so be sure to check in with your trip leader about specific trip requirements.

Community

Did you know that the SEMMC offers a yearly scholarship to a Bridgewater State University student in a related field of study? That's right!

Attend one of our monthly meetings and bring a little lucky "raffle dough." All funds collected during our meeting raffles goes directly to the scholarship fund. Give back to your community while building that rock collection. Win, win!
